Is it the best video card for mining cryptos ?

in #cryptocurrency7 years ago (edited)

Today I have a chance to try a new NVIDIA QUADRO P6000 video card, which retail price is around 5000 Eur and it's specifications are:

CUDA Parallel-Processing Cores: 3840
GPU Memory: 24 GB GDDR5X
FP32 Performance: 12 TFLOPS
Max Power Consumption: 250 W
Graphics Bus: PCI Express 3.0 x 16
Display Connectors: DP 1.4 (4)
DVI-D: (1)
Optional Stereo: (1)
Form Factor: 4.4” H x 10.5” L Dual Slot

Will i use it for mining cryptos? Well originally I have to use it for video rendering software...

I just made 1 hour googling on this, and could not find any good info on mining with this beast. Some people were complaining about low hashrate from other QUADRO models , M6000, 5000 series. It looks you still may have hard time to beat much chaper 1080TI cards, which are almost 8-10 times cheaper. Insane

There is one software called PIMP (https://getpimp.org/landing/nvidia-news/) it says that it supports this NVIDIA product but how fast ?..
So there is only thing to do is to try and see how it performs.

Hey!

Of course you should mine cryptos , you'll get a lot of damn profit with that card! Let the coins be for a year or two and you're gonna be rich :)

Best of luck to you! Wish I had the card myself haha

But I need somehow to make my video rendering software to use it simultaneously with mining software and to set resource priorities that nobody would notice that it is used not only for its original purpose :)

Awesome post! I invite you to visit our blog and enjoy our content :)

Nice guys.
