I thinkn ETH was a great inovator during first wave crypto. They spread the general idea an concepts that they represent, but due to the basic nature of it I think in time it will fade away. I personally have my bets on EOS and NEO. But then again who know. We are all in a waiting pattern until the second wave of crypto technology shows up where BTC and ETH canot.
