Make Money On SteemIt By Not Trying To Make Money At All

So if you're on steemit, then you've probably heard that it is a great community to make cash on however as many steemit users will tell you, simply hopping on steemit and spamming won't make lead to profit, it will lead the wrath of the steemit community. Furthermore, posting essays on a daily basis, also won't lead to cash. So what gives?

The simple truth is that making money on steemit comes to those who aren't here to make money first. Rather the people who will make the most money on steemit will be those that are investing in the community, both literally and figuratively speaking. A lot of people don't understand what steem powered means. In reality those that investing steem into the community get more power when it comes to curation of content.

Just look at the accounts of the most successful Steemit users like @trevonjb , and you'll see a pattern, where they give more to the community than they take. @trevonjb's account is worth over $71k USD, a value that continues to climb, however most of that value is in steem power. You should be giving more to the community, liking more comments, sharing your honest thoughts and opinions, and giving value to the community, rather than trying to milk it for all it's worth.

Steemit is a social network first and foremost. People upvote content that they like. They can quickly tell if someone is not sincere. People don't come to steemit for New York Times articles, they come to hear the opinions of real people. So the best way to make money on steemit, is by giving value to others and to the community. Be honest, and don't pretend to be something you are not. Focus on a niche rather than trying to publish a million different articles on everything and anything. Build a following by getting people to know you for one or two things rather than trying to become well known for a dozen or more.

Good advice. Even though I don't like trevon.

Interesting article. Thanks

thanks!

But, how did @trevonjb get 44k in STEEM Power?
He can't give away if he didn't have it in the first place.

@trevonjb worked hard and added value to the steemit community, that's how he got it

I'm all for replying to and upvoting posts, but it would seem that providing more articles is doing more for the community than just replying and upvoting. There has to be something to reply to and to upvote.

So, I want to know what "worked hard" really means, besides some platitudes that he gave back to the community. I saw a post that the author pointed out his own first post go him $5k. So, it would seem, that at one point, it was easier to earn money on Steemit than it is now.

I'm not discounting any effort of those who arrived at Steemit before me, I'm just curious as to what it really takes to end up with tens of thousands in STEEM Power when you start from scratch.

There is a saying that content is king however there are many people with tons of articles that are making less than a $1 per post. Some of the top steemit posters have YouTube channels and twitter's where they promote their content and help to bring new users to steemit. Every so often you'll see a success story from someone who made a single post and then earned $1k or more however I think of these post as fools gold. Sometimes it's about posting at the right time or posting a topic that their was a large market for that had gone unaddressed. Sometimes it's also because it's very original. Rather than trying to figure out what the magic combination of or formula is, I think it's much easier and much more rewarding to just focus on posting articles on topics you find interesting, and have some knowledge or insight into.

It's just a crap shoot, so post what you know and maybe you'll get lucky.

Hi @angry-mgtow! I'm a fan of your channel and have learned a lot from you. I have actually been mgtow by default since 2013. But I decided to stay mgtow officially this year. Anyway I greatly appreciate your advice on how to work with Steemit. I just opened my account and wrote my first post today. Looking forward to more of your content.

Your YT channel is on fire too damn you work hard!
