Steem Dollars and Smart Media Tokens

Steem dollars is the liquid currency of steemit.com. They are supposed to be pegged to $1 but given the volatility in the market this has shot up to $12 dollars. I think it is related to the release of Smart Media Tokens ( SMT 3.80% ). In short SMT 3.80% will allow anyone to run an ICO 14.29% on top of the steemit block chain. I think the buying right now is in preparation for this new functionality. People will be sending SBDBTC -8.75% to SMT 3.80% smart contracts and will receive tokens ICO 14.29% tokens. Given that steem is a social networking blogging site I see HUGE potential here.
