My Top 5 Cryptocurrencies For The Long Run.

There are now over 800 Currencies and almost 150 assets featured on https://coinmarketcap.com/. The challenge is separating the great from the garbage. No one knows what the future will hold and what can be the next bitcoin, but the hype is at an all time high. The truth is that more than 90% of these cryptos offer little unique value, and in all likely hood will be worth nothing in the future. After research, logical reasoning and looking at what these cryptos aim to do, these are my top 5.

1.) Ethereum: Heres the fact, the ability to make smart contracts that will eliminate the needs for lawyers will save companies millions if not billions of dollars, so there is a reason to use this technology. Ethereum is a platform, the best platform currently for decentralized applications at the moment. It has a powerful community and business backing by the Ethereum Enterprise Alliance. This offers real value and will not be going anywhere anytime soon.

2.) Bitcoin: Although less than 1% of businesses worldwide accept Bitcoin as a form of payment, there are a few powerful companies that do accept it. Currently, Microsoft, Tigerdirect, Dell, Tesla, Square, Kmart, Sears, and Dish Network all accept Bitcoin. You can even buy gold or silver using bitcoin through JM Bullion. Bitcoin has built a strong and powerful network of users and followers. Recently Japan and Russia have recognized Bitcoin as a legal form of payment which has brought a lot of excitement and new buyers into Bitcoin. This was seen as a major victory for cryptocurrencies in general.

3.) IOTA: The key idea behind IOTA is a machine to machine based economy. No fees, fast transactions and quantum proof. Does not use blockchain but is using a system called tangle. You verify each other work rather than waiting on a blockchain based ledger. This is designed to be a currency and not a platform. As robotics move forward this will be the currency to watch.

4.) GOLEM: A supercomputer based on renting computer power based on blockchain. This is a peer to peer network with the idea that you can rent your unused CPU/GPU cycles and get paid in cryptocurrency. For example if you are working with a major project that requires a lot of computing power such as AI you can basically hire many computers throughout the world in order to finish the project faster and more efficiently.

5.) Veritaseum: Founded on the idea of a peer to peer economy it allows people to deal directly with one another. This gives us ability to remove the middle men the brokers and the leeches in the finance system. This will give us capitalism in its purist form. If we can do something more efficiently and at a lower cost using the blockchain technology this crypto could be one of the largest within the next few months.

Thx for sharing.
But your list a very weak.
Golem? Make some researches in this niche.
I won't comment on BTC and ETH. But that's not a choice in any way.
They are more like entry-exit points to crypto world. For the moment only.

My list is weak? Why don't you provide the cryptocurrencies that you think will do well then and why. Simply shooting down someone else's article does not do much for the community.
