In this post, I rap up the nature of Cryptocurrency in a few selected countries across west and South Africa.

It should be noted that I had posted a similar update a long time ago and this is part 2.

Lets get started with the part 2

1. Zambia

The Central Bank of Zambia (BoZ) has warned that Cryptocurrency is not a legal tender in the country. BoZ also warned citizens trading Cryptocurrencies are doing so at their own risks as they will have no recourse to authorities in case of fraud.Check out this press release;

2. Namibia

The Bank of Namibia, the county's Central Bank says Cryptocurrency is not a legal tender and has completely banned Cryptocurrencies and cryptocurrency activities in the country

3. South Africa and Swaziland

These are countries that have implemented good measures that are favorable to cryptocurrency adoption.

4. Kenya

Cryptocurrency (bitcoin) is currently tradable in Kenya with a bitcoin ATM installed in Nairobi, capital city of Kenya.

5. Nigeria

With the beta phase of Kubitx Cryptocurrency exchange set to be launched in Nigeria and the country's Presidential candidate promising to adopt Cryptocurrency, the future of Nigeria is surely bright!

6. Ghana

Currently, blockchain technology is being used in Ghana to register lands and keep track of lands and land titles. Also, no clear statement has been made about Cryptocurrencies.

Clearly, the future of Cryptocurrency looks bright in the giant nations in Africa.
