This update and Hivemind starting to take a load off the blockchain has really helped I believe, BUT others like markymark think some of this activity is simply from BitThumb finally opening their old steem wallets, in a situation similar to poloniex etc
But regardless Steem been going up even without bitcoin and the majority of users believe this is all because of steemit inc fixing things and investors responding positively and just the rumor of this will cause many more users to invest LOL
