Since I am situated in the Netherlands I am always looking for cryptocurrencies that either emerge from the Dutch market, or a coin that is (going) to work together with a big Dutch company.

Today I received the great news that one major alt currency is going to work together with one of the largest Dutch companies namely KPN. This is great news for NEO.

Who/What is KPN.
Ziggo has the majority position in the internet market. Ziggo has 43,5% of the market, while KPN has 40,5% of the market. (2017). Last time it was the biggest on the internet market was in 2014.

KPN does have the majority position on the mobile telecommunication part, also with around 40% of the market. But the 3 big companies (KPN, T-Mobile and Vodafone) are losing customers to smaller companies like Tele2. So far Vodafone and T-Mobile got the biggest hits because of it.

KPN is 1 of only a dozen Tier 1 networks worldwide offering settlement free peering. If you understand how the internet works that is a massive deal in terms of connectivity and a very strategic partner for Neo. But even so, its less about Kpn even and more about the location. Amsterdam is home to Ams-ix, the second largest internet backbone hub in the world. If Amsix would go down the internet wordwide would take a serious hit, thats how big it is. What this means is NL is actually one of the very best locations to run a consensus node from.

It will be very sad for NEO to stay below the 200,- USD range now...
