Talking Cryptocurrency with the over 60 crowd
As I am new to this myself and almost 60 I have been trying to assimilate a lot of information into something I can share with my friends. My older friends seem to be some tough nuts to crack.
Getting them to text is still a challenge. lol
The concept of being able to buy something without using a nations currency is a concept that is foreign to say the least.
Having them accept the fact I can with way to much screwing around turn it into something they recognize ...a green back a buck good old debt bases currency.. yup a cryptocurrency deposited into my bank acc. is like magic.
Where did it come from how is it backed .
I need to find a good quick cryptocurrency hand out IN BIG PRINT LMAO...
until they find a better way to text...I won't do it much.
screen's way too small...as are the 'buttons'...

seems to me..that if they are going to apply a condition to one currency..they should apply it to all.
I agree it is backed on nothing more than belief.. My friend who inspired this blog has a belief bordering on religious fanaticism that a currency is based on a countrys wealth.
The thought of something not being nationally issued is not conceivable.
The nation and banks are almost seen as one or something.
actually..bit coins have intrinsic value.
each one is unique...can't be copied...etc.
that gives it a value..
HOW MUCH that value is worth...is due to market factors.
who knows what the market will do?
It will be interesting to see how the world reacts.
I don't think debt bases currencies can compete.
