WePower is a kind of platform that enables you to invest in renewable energy. The renewable energy (RE from now on) producers will be able to create their tokens on wepower and they will create funds through people investing in these tokens. Shortly, RE companies will not seek for funds at various places and in different methods, instead, they will be able to create funds by crowdsourcing on wepower platform. This way, you will be able to fund any RE investment in Europe for example, from the other parts of the world. Until today, I have never ever thought about producing RE, but if I had, I do not think that funding would be so easy. Therefore wepower can provide a new mechanism to stimulate clean energy production.

Wepower üzerinde yenilenebilir enerji üretmek isteyen üreticiler kendi tokenlarını yaratarak bu tokenları alan kişiler sayesinde yatırımlarına kaynak yaratmış olacaklar. Yani kısaca her yenilenebilir enerji üretmek isteyen şirket ayrı ayrı yerlerde ve şekillerde değil, wepower üzerinde kitle fonlama yöntemiyle kendisine sermaye bulacak. Böylece siz de Türkiye'den Avrupa'daki bir enerji yatırımını fonlayabileceksiniz. Bugüne kadar "hadi şimdi de yenilenebilir enerji üreteyim" gibi bir düşüncem olmadı, ama olsaydı da yatırım bulmanın bu kadar kolay olacağını sanmıyorum. Those RE producers looking for funds will create so called energy tokens on wepower platform and each energy token will be equivalent to 1kWh energy, then they will announce their auction. By producing these energy tokens, producers assure that they will provide certain amount of energy at a certain amount of time. That is, they will be able to sell their future production at their investment stage. Those people who have wepower tokens (there are two kinds of token as you probably understood-energy tokens and wepower tokens) will have an advantage of participating these energy auctions before the other people and this way they will be able to buy energy tokens at lower prices. They will be able to sell their energy tokens later once the tokens are opened to trade. If you prefer, you may not use your energy tokens for trading and you can choose to use them as payment for the energy consumption bill at your home. For this, wepower has an interface demo that you can track your energy consumption and buy and sell energy accordingly. The only advantage of wepower token holders will not be auction privilege. 0.9% of all energy tokens from all auctions will be gathered in a pool and only wepower token holders will be able to benefit from this pool. Wepower token holders will be able to use or trade these energy tokens again.

There is no explanation as to why they choose blockchain for such a system that could also be maintained by a centralized mechanism, or the mechanism and technical points are so complex that we can not comment on this as ordinary people. But, it is clear that one purpose is to create resource by token trades in crypto exchanges.

Wepower draws attention to agreement with Estonian transmission system operator Elering as to the proof of their concrete operation and solid infrastructure. Wepower will test its own system with Elering. They are planning to be operational in Spain in August 2018, and in Germany and Portugal in October 2018 on their roadmap.

I have not found any negative comment anywhere about wepower team, but I did not know any of them before reviewing this Ico.

How successful Wepower will be is actually related with what we are looking for. If you are only interested in wepower token price at exchanges compared to the ico price and how you will multiply your money, there is always very high risk and reward potential here, as in the similar icos. As an example, if we look at a similar Ico PowerLedger, the value of the coin at exchanges right now means there is a return of around x10. Of course this is not always the case, I do not think I need to say how volatile bitcoin and altcoin markets are.

Size göre yalnızca wepower tokenın borsalardaki fiyatının ICO fiyatına göre kaç katına çıkacağı önemliyse burada her zaman yüksek risk ve tabiki de yüksek getiri potansiyeli var. Where I am more interested in is whether wepower will be able to provide a significant source to RE. This will be related to the ordinary users' interest to use the Wepower interface. To me, trading energy at an interface for my home consumption is something that I can not imagine and I would not prefer this. But, I think there will be many parties who would like to use energy tokens on the trade side.

Wepower mechanism is quite complicated. It is a very brave move to start blockchain based system in energy markets. Energy markets are already constantly changing according to demand, and regulations come on top of this and therefore for non-expert people it is very hard to think what can happen and trade accordingly. While we have not experienced even the ideas that will work only on the internet network via tokens in concrete and broad meaning yet, I am very curious about the wepower system that will connect to the energy network and work with huge amount of data. Whether it will be successful or not, it will make a major contribution to the emergence of new systems and processes.

Başarılı olur yada olmaz, yeni sistemler ve işleyişlerin ortaya çıkışına büyük katkısı olacak.
