Lead maintainer of Monero (XMR) Riccardo talks about Monero at the recent blockchain conference in South Africa called #chainreaction.
He spoke about why privacy matters as a soft intro, but he didn't want to talk about tax invasion.
Started the talk off with "the changing landscape" how money and the way people interact with it over the decades. He speaks about how with KYC and AML how investigations have been taken out of law enforcement hand and put it in the hands of the financial institutes, it is now their problem to figure out you are transferring money around. This means we have lost our privacy.
