I was going to start writing about this... when I realized... "it's going to take longer"... and it will take my own time, but's worth it! So be it...

The reality of value!

For many you, steemit users, this platform is all about making techniques to win money and to bring profit from the intervenients of this community. Even if you don't admit it, most of you are doing it.

But let me tell you something that you might either recognize or will start understanding a few years after being down this road...

Your life will change

Not because you can "potentially" become rich or due any unforeseen investments returns you found under the hood, but because you will know enough to start understanding how History is being written! And that will eventually affect you... not necessarily in a positive or negative way, but it will make your mind adapt.

The beauty of being apart of it!

Many will not care, but following an average thinking... it will bring new skills to cultures that previously thought they were just useful for "that" kind of job! And NOW everything will be different and YOU will feel the responsibility to expand the knowledge you have begun exploring. Not just because it feels addicting enjoyable but because you suddenly start feeling the real smell of its cause. Even if you just want to take advantage of it... you WILL be conscious that it is CHANGING society!

Taking predictions seriously...

This is a glimpse of what I know for sure it's already happening and will continue for some time... until there is enough momentum to change course again.

Starting from what most are blind for...

Mining!

If you are a miner, know or want to drive some cents from it, either by renting or hosting it, you should understand one thing: Mining in the future will not be like trying or helping the Network! Even if you not yet known about, it will likely be some sort of known profitable way to drive value from and still be targeted as either contraband or non-ideal profit-making businesses.

And the reason for it is only one... control of inflation. That is what mining is all about, an Inflation Factor!

Note: By referring to mining... I will refer to any kind of it... even to the liking of STEEM!

Proofs of verification

You name it, PoW, PoS, DPoS, PoStor, mixed PoW algos, etc... they all aim to "experiment" the ways of verifying immutability. Although, making them (the verifications) unique, incorruptible or undefeatable by maths is a completely new level when solving proof problematics.

These will continue to evolve with mostly, community effort (businesses will just adopt) and that is obvious why, when looking back into what the open source community has done within the last years. And if you think deeply, this is, in fact, something from mids of the XIV Century! Therefore, the concept is not new for most experienced developers...

Exchanges

These will evolve with a mandantory path progression, driven by laws! That is simple to understand when you contemplate the fact that these guys move millions every day. Making taxes and AML (Anti Money Laundry) policies a very itchy concern in the business world.

If you are in the area, you will know the path is not an easy one (good luck). Even when reputation is all about your thing to promote at first instance (not caring much for profits).

ICOs

These are quickly taking the same approach of Exchanges. And that is for a reason... same one as always. People being afraid of bringing businesses that create value that suddenly can destabilize the economy and therefore become an attraction for governments.

If you are just starting... 2018 will be your worst nightmare! That's all I can say about it.

DecentraliZATION as-IS

I am considering all kinds of it, in either the blockchain area, onion, p2p, i2p or highly encrypted ones. These will be taken seriously in the next few years, and most of it will undertake many adaptive techniques to maintain anonymous co-existence with the remaining of the internet, but they will always be targeted in the same extent blockchains are, although with a lot less interest.

The technology here will be driven by the likelihood of blockchain technology evolving into a mainstream protocol supported by mainstream Hardware providers.

Laws and its Technology Perception!

There will be TONS of laws being created to drive money from these new economical movements... Currently, many are already in place and taking advantage of the "scared" ones. Although many will try to lay low, it will become something, eventually unbearable for laws to overtake. Not because of the nature of the technology itself (many private keys, cryptos, etc...) but because of the adoption of it at low volume scale.

If you make a software and suddenly sell it for free, and everyone likes it... what you think "others" will try to do?

Therefore, in my opinion, crypto will become a regulamentary problem for law enforcement. Adapting to it will become a loss of time for anyone not adopting practical and simplistic rules. Not that those would drive criminal activity away, but they will be, in my view, the only way to join forces and embrace the technology within our usual lives.

Many mistakes will occur and the community value will be mostly hidden, once again from society masses, making room for monopolists trying to grab it for a bite.

They will all be part of a greater experiment they do not yet know about... helping the community, and later on, making it part of the normal reality again. Along the process, it's them helping blockchain communities... again! But this time we have the advantage of benefiting from one of the best technology empowering tools...

The community

I am just one more simple being, happy to be apart of this. And with or without the purpose of winning my efforts with rewards, you still might argue that I usually respond and report to money. And that might actually be true (course of nature), but it will never match with what edge technology has to offer!
