If you haven't seen this weeks Last Week Tonight with John Oliver I would recommend it. The main story is about cryptocurrencies. They look at some basic definitions (I'm still surprised how many people are investing in cryptos and can't even describe blockchain or differentiate between coins), and some of the highlights (Bitcoin skyrocketting) and lowlights (Bitconnect, the weird dude behind EOS) of recent crypto news.
They end by reminding you that you should never invest more than you ar prepared to lose with a clever send up of the #hodlgang rap and the Bitconnect promo.
How good was this?
Given how crazy everyone was going in November/December, this segment really should help the normal people get their head around it. It's a shame EOS got such a beating here... It seems like a generally well thought out system. I don't actually have any crypto but Steem at the moment... unfortunately real life doesn't leave much spare change just now.
