Investing Tips for Beginners in Cryptocurrencies: Knowing Yourself
As we look toward your future, we may begin to wonder if we should be starting to invest in stocks. However, these days we have more options for investing than ever before.
Some of those options are cryptocurrencies, like Bitcoin or Ethereum, which can be traded much like stocks, but they are actually a form of currency themselves. As you begin to consider what types of investments to make, the first important step to make is knowing yourself.
Thinking of Investing in Cryptocurrencies? Understand First Your Investment Goals
The most important aspect of your investment journey is knowing what you hope to achieve. Are you looking to create an investment portfolio to carry you through retirement? What level of return on your investment are you hoping to reach? Or maybe you have a specific goal you want to fund through investing?
Whatever you want to achieve, knowing your goal is the first step to making successful investments. With that in mind, you can make wise, informed decisions.
Know Your Comfortable Risk Level
The next item to consider when investing is the risk level associated with the stock or currency you are purchasing. While all investments involve some level of risk, there is a lot of variety depending on what you invest in.
When determining your comfort with risk, consider your goals. If you have a long-term goal, you may want to stick with a low-risk stock to accrue value over time.

Few tips I learned:
Don't risk what you can't lose. This is obvious, but starting small is good and learning that loss is okay. Don't just dive in with thousands if you can't fall back on anything.
Research. Few times I considered a coin because it was cheap, new, had previous success, etc. But learned after some research the coin was problematic, a potential scam, not trading as much due to circumstances, etc. Do your digging.
Just follow the market and news for a few weeks. Go on CoinMarketCap, Cointelegraph, Cryptonews, etc and just see what's happening. Just learn.
