It's a no-brainer. I figured if I shut it down, then I am in control. Who knows what Google will decide to keep?

I hope that they dont keep anything but i think in am wrong, in this day and age its same with camera’s and data, i think we only know half of it

They outline what is being deleted when you decide to do that. Essentially, anything outside of Google+ that you have connected to Google+ will remain. That includes YouTube videos, photos, things like that. If you uploaded a photo directly to Google+, it will be deleted. If you saved it in Google Photos and pulled it into a Google+ post, it will remain. That's how I understand it.

But that's if you delete your account yourself. Of course, all your data will likely still exist on their servers.

I think so too, its an invasion of privacy but thats the modern times off today i guess

I'd use DuckDuckGo more often, but my occupation requires me to have the best and most up-to-date research. That's how I can charge top dollar for my writing services. So Google reigns supreme. But DuckDuckGo doesn't track searcher behavior.
