XTRABYTES Development Update - December 21st
The XTRABYTES development team has been hard at work on the XCITE client over the last month. We are excited to announce that a few more features have been added to XCITE and will be tested all at once during the third testnet. We are still aiming to bring in 3,000 participants for this upcoming test in order to push the XTRABYTES platform to its limits.
Originally, the third test on XCITE was only going to focus on the XBY wallet, the XFUEL wallet, and the X-CHANGE, a decentralized exchange (DEX) accessible directly on the platform. However, developments have exceeded expectations so an additional module, X-CHAT, is going to be tested as well.
Over the last month, we have made considerable progress on the XCITE client so we will be including both Android and Windows mobile XCITE platforms in the upcoming testnet along with Windows, Linux, and Mac support.
What Is X-CHAT?
X-CHAT is a software module that enables users to communicate directly via encrypted messaging protocols. We will be adding many more exciting features to X-CHAT as development continues. X-CHAT will also operate as a command window within the XCITE client.
The Mobile XCITE Client
In order to be competitive, any respectable cryptocurrency platform has to be able to facilitate day to day financial transactions. With the mobile XCITE client, users all over the world can buy and sell both goods and services with their smartphone. At present, the Android and Windows mobile XCITE clients have nearly been completed and the iOS client is currently under development.
XCITE UI Finished
The graphic design team has been hard at work on the XCITE User Interface (UI). The goal was to create a simplistic, yet powerful, feature rich platform that grants easy access to all modules. We want to make trading on X-CHANGE and chatting with friends on X-CHAT as easy on mobile as it is on desktop.
At present, the completed XCITE code is being paired with the UI designs.
We are all excited to see these developments in action during the upcoming testnet. Fortunately, we won’t have to wait much longer. More information on exactly how to participate in this groundbreaking test will be revealed shortly. As a reminder, as soon as the final test has been completed successfully, STATIC nodes will be open for registration.
Wallet Updates
We would like to apologize for not providing a Mac XFUEL wallet or updating the current XBY wallets. We decided that it would be better to focus our development resources on completing the XCITE client and making the move over to mainnet so XTRABYTES can finally start running on the Zoltchain, allowing us to quickly bring STATIC nodes and core modules online.

Our official Facebook page has been translated for 18 country specific regions in order to expand our outreach globally. We have also translated the official XTRABYTES website into 14 languages and would like to translate all XTRABYTES related material so everyone around the world can participate in our community.
