Hilo.io Is Your Social Crypto Learning Portal

Today we'll be talking about Hilo.io, a crypto learning/earning/portal/community. As a crypto newbie, you are probably looking to soak up as much information as possible in an easy to digest way. Hilo makes this easy, intuitive, and social.

Dashboard
When you first sign in to the site you are greeted by your Dashboard. The left-hand side provides you with a customizable Watchlist, where you can add or delete the coins and tokens you are most interested in following. This is a valuable tool for keeping track of all your assets in one place. This is the first thing I look at every morning.

The center panel shows you the entire crypto market at a glance under the Market Capitalization tab. Beneath that you will find the trending section, which displays the most talked about coins/tokens with the most activity on Hilo in the last 24 hours. This section is great for keeping up with the latest news. Something big might happen and you might miss it. The Highs and Lows tab displays the biggest winners and losers for the previous 24 hours. This can give you insights on when to buy or sell.

The right-side panel displays various Activities. This area is a collection of the most popular online articles, posts from other members you follow, and anything tagged with the hashtags you've selected.

Portfolio
The portfolio page is where things get really interesting. Hilo allows its users to connect up to two online exchanges/wallets to their account for free and imports their data into the site. Additional exchanges/wallets may be connected for a small fee, payable in the company's token, H. The site's own cryptocurrency.

Once imported, the portfolio page tracks the user's portfolio value, trading history, and total holdings. Users may choose to share certain information regarding asset allocation, watchlists, and fantasy portfolios, with other members either for free or by charging a small fee payable in H. Discover
The Discover tab leads to a page where users may compare different crypto-assets and their performance with ease. Clicking on the asset's name will bring up the Asset Detail Page. The Social Graph is the star here. The Social Graph displays aggregated information on user sentiment. User sentiment is gathered from verified members through the site's gamification process in which Hilo members are rewarded for interacting with the site in exchange for rewards.

There are many ways to earn rewards, reputation, and followers on this site. So many so that it requires a separate article to explain them all. So far we've only explored the site's main pages and site navigation.
