I still prefer cloud mining. I'll give up some profit to not have any hardware, upkeep, electricity costs, heat, and loud noise, while having to recover my initial investment on the machines. Technology always needs upgrades. Something new and faster will hit the market in a few months. Great for technological advancements as @discernente points out.
