ONLY 8% of crypto projects still active!
Last year there were over 26,000 cryptocurrency projects created on Github. GitHub is a Web-based Git version control repository hosting service. It is mostly used for computer code. Out of these roughly 26,000 projects only 8% are still active today.
Deloitte researchers said:
"The stark reality of open-source projects is that most are abandoned or do not achieve meaningful scale. Unfortunately, blockchain is not immune to this reality".
About 90 percent of projects developed on GitHub become idle, with the highest mortality rate occurring within the first six months of a project beginning.
What does this tell us? Well it tells me to be extremely careful where i invest my money in the crypto space. It tells me to do my research and homework on each and every crypto i plan on investing in. Only invest in projects that have smart, large teams, and solid money backing them. At this rate without those factors we have no idea if the project will be around long enough to ever get our investment back let alone actually profit off of it.

No idea what will die off... but I'm hoping Steem, SALT and Cardano rise to new heights in 2018.

The crypto happy dance? Trading is super exhausting. I really would rather just invest in the good technologies that will actually make a difference to the world.... but first we need to see what affact the CME has on the cryptocurrency market as a whole...
