How the Bitcoin protocol works and what blockchains are

General aim of this particular video is to explain the major ideas behind the Bitcoin protocol in a clear, simply and understandable way.

In reality, the problems Bitcoin intends to solve are largely about protecting transactions-- ensuring people can't steal from one another, or fake one another, and so on. So, it's not surprising that Bitcoin basis on cryptography.

Starting from first concepts, enhance to a wide theoretical understanding of how the protocol works, and then dig down into the basics, examining the raw data in a Bitcoin transaction.
