I've invested some bitcoin into steem and steem dollars. Now I have the ability to promote posts with funds, but I'm not sure how else it contributes to the overall social landscape. I hope someone answers your questions because I have the same inquiries.
I've only been on here a few days, I'm not sure how many things work unfortunately. But as most things, I'm sure I'll get there in time!
