I have been to one EOS NY meetup, and I have to say they are a terrible organization. And the biggest drawback of EOS is that block producers like EOSNY can collude with other BP's to change transactions histories. The more I learn about EOS the worse it seems.

@EOS_io is not a person, it’s a network. We are not “proud” of blacklisting, the EOS Core Arbitration Forum issues orders to do so based on evidence they’ve received. All 21 BPs must blacklist for it to work. A single BP not blacklisting will negate it.
The current rules of the ecosystem, the interim constitution, compel all block producers to follow any arbitral order from ECAF. We think the system can be improved through this proposal we wrote. It introduces a free market mechanic.

As far as I know, Star called the police for help when he was surrounded by a group of people in Shanghai. The police arrived on the scene and invited all of them to the police station.
While Star was invited to help with the investigation and those people was detained, they raised a fraud complaint against Star. Star stayed to clarify and then left afterwards.
I am disappointed that the story was twisted before the truth came out.

I think its funny. All the whales are stocking up while all the noobs are sitting here debating it and calling for $50 and $100 ETH. The Volume on Bifinex is $130 million for the last 24 hours. It has a higher Volume then BTC at $116 Million. People seem to forget that for every seller there is a buyer. I think this is a gift. I dont need the money so I could care less if I load up and it takes a year. I am loading up and hedging with a short so it doesnt lose any $ Value. All these stupid calls for a certain price. Nobody knows the bottom. Thats why I am hedged so when it bounces my stop will trigger and its game time.

how can we catch up all data of eos blockchain when the block producing faster than syncing from network?
when i setting up a node in mainnet. current block on network is 16 million, every seconds, it produces new 2 blocks and my node only sync 2 blocks. i call it through api: r/http://localhost:8888/v1/chain/get_info. my "head_block_num": 56531. i don't know when it will complete

You can blacklist blocktwitter on your node, then it will run faster. Also use wavm for the wasm engine, it's much faster than the default one.

Can someone make the google for EOS? Everytime I want to explore eos sites I feel like I have to wade through crap before I get to where I want to go.
Would be extremely nice to have a site to search all EOS sites, ranked by visits, uses. Would help from a credibility standpoint also.
Last idea, part of this would include block explorers. I feel like there are more than a handful and I can't keep track of them all. Some of them have what I am looking for while others are missing lots of features. Annoying to have to jump around through forums and waste time finding the right one.
All integrated into one extremely well put together search would be massively useful to the public. My .02.

Introducing the Governance Voting UI for the Maker Foundational Vote

The vote for the Maker Foundation Proposal v2 marks the first time MKR Governors will vote using an application UI. Until now, participation in Dai Credit System governance has only been available via command line tools.
It is a tall order to create a great user experience that truly enables decentralized governance, so the voting application will be an iterative work in progress. Some keywords that we use as guides for our work to make your vote count are; Inclusion, Dialogue, Transparency, Neutral facilitation, Encouraging participation, Knowledge transfer, Conflict resolution, Efficiency, Usability and Security. We are aware that we need a lot of dialogue with, and input from, the community to evolve the Governance Voting application, and we will seek it actively.
For our first iteration of the user-friendly voting tool, our main focus has been on security. As MKR owners need to lock up their MKR in a smart contract to participate in the voting, a suite of smart contracts that allow MKR holders to vote with an easily accessible “hot wallet” was needed, while ensuring that their MKR tokens can never be transferred without approval from their “cold wallet”. This means that the private key that fully controls the MKR will only be used in the setup step, making it less exposed to potentially malicious behavior. Note that as an MKR owner you are able to withdraw MKR back to the wallet you originally had your MKR stored on at any point in time. The MakerDAO Voting Proxy Contract post explain what happens under the hood in this voting setup process.
