STEEMIT: Trial and Error ( A Guide to Starters)

Steemit is a social media platform that allows user to post, upvote, comment and resteem blogs. It is a simpler version of Facebook but the great thing about this is that they compensates their users by using Steem technology ( a cryptocurrency, it will be discuss on my next blog)

Being here for almost 5 months, I cannot say to you that I am already a pro to this community but by mere observation and trial and error, I can give you at least 6 do's when starting up a blog site here.

• Surround yourself with steemians who has the positive attitude and has the willingness to help you out. There are a lot of steemit groups that you can freely join if you want to. It is very essential to be a part of a community because you cannot survive here because you need people to help you on your blog and especially you need them to upvote, comment and resteem your blog for you to be compensated.

Just be friendly and do your best to participate in your group discussions.

• Create a Good Content. A must to every blogger out there is to create a unique and good content which readers will surely enjoy. Having this is a good jump start if you are really serious on making this as a source of income.

Good content equals good pay check.

Whales (those people who has a great influence in the steemit community) often or most of the time search for blog that are worthy and in return they will give you a big sum of upvote value.

• Have Time to Read Other Steemians Blogs. The tendency of some steemians is that they abuse the pay out system. Because of potential money they can get through upvoting someone's blog, they will just click and click the upvote button without even reading through the content. We should also appreciate someone's works by reading and going through before upvoting. By doing this, it might give you an idea of what will your next blog will be about. The more info you have the more blogs you can make.

• Search for Contest. Joining contest like photography contest (@juliank), writing contest, art contest** (@deemarshall)** and others will surely be a great deal. Price ranges from 2 sbd up to 50 sbd and it will be given to the contest winners. It is a good start for you because having a steem dollar can help you a lot specially if you opt to use steem bots. Joining contest will give you a chance to be expose to the community and they will often follow you if you are nice to them.

• Earn Followers. Starting steemit and earning some followers will be hard at first, but if you create good contents, you will encourage people to follow you. > Remember the more follower you have the larger your audience base equals the more upvotes you will have.

• Use Steem Bots (steembottracker.com). They are the account here in steemit that ask for steem dollar to be transferred to their account and in return they will give you a profitable upvote to your chosen blog, ***but we should be vigilant when using steem bots because not all the time they can give you a profitable upvote value. you should observe first before giving them a bid. ***
