Is cryptocurrency the way forward

Since the monetary explosion of bitcoin, cryptocurrencies of varying properties has begun to emerge, but despite its diversities, they all share the same feature, and that's their ledger. The ledger keeps all financial transactions and assets accountable, and is accomplished in the form of a virtual chain know as the blockchain. The blockchain maintains its security by assigning an encryption (mining data of the altcoin, where, when, how etc...) of the previous to present block, and continues in that chain linking format until the end of the block, the first block is called the genesis block, and has no previous information. Removing or manipulating a block would result in the network of blocks being aware of the change due to the previous encrypted data (also know as a hash) being unrecognizable. Cryptocurrency, in my opinion is the future, the only question is, which one, since there are 1604 different coins at the time of writing as recorded by https://coinmarketcap.com/all/views/all/, or maybe because of their various properties, each would have their purpose, lets take Augur coin, a coin suited for gambling, even if you lost your bet, you might still be entitled to something or our own steem, with a 35 position on the coinmarketcap.com and moving up as of writing.

Crypto Investment.

One should always invest time to study the altcoin market, read about the coins and its purpose, review graphs of their growth charts e.g steem has a great program by which a contributor is rewarded for their effort, an endeavor I support fully for its open source nature and by its like minded community . Steem is a good coin to invest in and keep, coins should be traded with coins to minimize loses, also I don't believe all eggs should be placed in one basket, spread it around as per your research, also mining might be a good option to consider but that's a topic for another time.
