The new code for BitConnect supports the SegWit update completely

in #crypto6 years ago

The latest SegWit update is unique in cryptocurrency space. This is not because the change to the software code for the developer focuses on expanding the network (and so it is), but because it paves the way for a new layer of technology that is likely to be faster, less expensive (and so it is).

It was finally activated in August, after months of controversy. The SegWit update stimulates developers to put together more structured software, an unusual development for developers behind the world's oldest and most valuable crypto currency network. Most often, when developers develop new changes to digital code commands, a group of volunteer developers can simply combine disparate improvements together. But the next code release, 0.16.0, the 16 "main version" since the emergence of Bitcoin, some different thing.

(SegWit) - with a focus on facilitating the transmission of SegWit conversions from the software virtualization portfolio. Therefore, while SegWit's first introduction was to ensure that the network understood the new rules, Version 0.16.0 was to enable users to actually take advantage of its benefits. Andrew Chao, a contributor to CoinDesk's main bitcoin development, said:

"The primary change is to add an update (SegWit) to the wallet. This allows users to easily create addresses that support an update (SegWit) "

Abundance Software (SegWit)
To achieve this goal, Zhao explains that features have been added to both the Omer line and the user's wallet interface, so both programmers and non-programmers can use it. "While it was possible to create SegWit addresses in the previous portfolio, the process was" somewhat vulgar "and" mostly hidden, "said the engineer in Chaincode Lab and a contributor to the development of the main developer Marco Valky. Now, despite the release of the program, SegWit addresses will be automatic, which means that the new titles will automatically be compatible with the scaling feature.

Version 0.16.0 is the first version to support the "SegWit" addresses, also called the "Beach32" addresses, a new headline form by contributors to Pitcone Core Development; Peter Will and Greg Maxwell. It is also easier to use than older address types and supports the SegWit update automatically. "This is the most exciting thing in this release," said Falkie.

With SegWit addresses created automatically, Wallet users must see a reduction in fees. Such progress could have wider implications. Where the first development of Bitcoin was introduced for the first time (SegWit) update in November 2016, and the ensuing battle prompted some software users to support the digital currency competition that completely stopped it.

According to Chao, one of the advantages of the original SegWit format is that its fees are somewhat low, although the format is very new, but most of the portfolios do not currently support this feature. Zhao also said other features of the release give more flexibility to the core portfolio of Bitcoin. For example, users can store their own wallets or keys in another data directory if they want to.

There is still a lot of time

Backward, the release could have helped with SegWit's transmission problem, as its adoption may have been slower than the defenders expected. As user expectation and impatience come to an end, many may be surprised that the development of the primary beta takes a lot of time to better support the conversion pattern. But developers say there are two reasons for delay. First, the team says they wanted to see how SegWit worked for a while before backing up the portfolio. To test the possibility of security holes or any other problems, Zhao said. And second, because of political disinformation. While the previous release of this software, 0.15.1, SegWit's support, which developers claim to have been planned alternative home-based software in November 2016, should have been the reason for delayed focus and reorientation efforts.
