Exposing the reality of bitcoin to my friend

Just sent some base layer #Bitcoin to a friend to show them how it works, give them an idea how confirmations work and share the mempool

Transaction had a 16 sat/vb fee

Had its first confirmation within 60 seconds
Had 3 confirmations within 4 mins 😳

My friend - “wow this is incredible it’s so fast”

Me. “It’s not normally that quick 🤣
