Ripple donates 50 million to Universities to boost blockchain adoption
Cryptocurrency and payments start-up Ripple is shelling out millions to some top schools to encourage adoption of blockchain technology.
The company will give $50 million to 17 universities including the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, MIT and the University of Pennsylvania.
The donation is in dollars and not the cryptocurrency.
