RE: It's a dangerous world out there...

Ethereum is good in places that fully support it... Especially when Bitcoin has network congestion problems... When prices went up about year ago, I was trading Ethereum against IntenseCoin and got from about 0.30 EUR up to over 60 EUR in value. Couldn't cash out as the amount was still a little below minimum deposit limit as big exchanges use contracts for Ethereum deposits and Ethereum network also got congested. It took me 299 more days to get enough Ethereum to reach the minimum deposit limit.

Even now, ether fees are generally a lot lower than bitcoin when sending small to medium sized amounts of money, and that is saying something because bitcoin's fees are pretty low as well.

Lowest I could get with Bitcoin was 7000 satoshis... I've never managed to get below 0.003 ETH (currently about 10200 satoshis).

So you paid less with a btc transfer than an ether transfer? I don't think I have ever done that...

I was draining the last satoshis from my wallet so I could combine all the different Bitcoin wallet balances. I basically tried the smallest amount that it accepted without blatantly rejecting the transaction.

Interesting. Not only have I never been able to do that, I don't think I have ever even seen that.

For extreme BTC fees, you can check https://www.blockchain.com/btc/tx/e8b0664241767008b5fbcca2297844c0daf1d169f2ef6f4c7b628f8f4516d884 ... That is something you don't see often...

That is helpful, thanks.
