Kind Ads...for less intrusive browsing experience that you can trust

in #crypto7 years ago (edited)

As Lyons puts it, marketers “took the Internet, one of the most wonderful and profound inventions of all time, and polluted it with advertising and turned it into a way to sell stuff.” Worse yet, we’re using it to create ads that look so much like content that we’ll soon lose the ability to tell the difference.

Prior to invention of the internet, companies, organizations and media houses could only publicize their products and services on conventional- radio, television stations, newspapers, billboards, etc. But for the timely invent of the internet and initiative of social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter, online advert is now a reality.
Its things like this that make me feel especially lucky and favoured to be part of this generation.

Online ad is one of the greatest milestones of the century, made possible through the creation of the internet.

In recent times however, pop-ups and other intrusive ad forms have become a pain in the ass.

Initially, it was easy to overlook the downsides to it and of course, it was an easy pick as it did appear to be considerably better than the traditional- television and radio ads, in terms of efficacy, outreach and simplicity.
But currently, the hellish experience with pop-ups, unsolicited emails and spams almost outweighs the benefits obtainable.

Kind Ads

Kind ads is a decentralized ad platform with quite distinct features. The structure allows for publisher scoreboard where they can be scored and ranked based on performance, coverage and how trusted they are.
One exciting thing about Kind ads, which is evident from its blueprint, is that, it will eliminate the middleman from the chain thereby yielding a direct relationship between publishers and users.

Why is this good?
Boycotting the middleman helps to save monies and this is huge.
How?
Typically, adverts are tools meant to market or inform a specific group of audience about a product or service and this is done in a bid to establish and grow consumer base. And undoubtedly, more consumers means more money. Sadly, this is far from the reality today.

Quite a number of ads hardly ever reach the target audience and for a chunk of those that do, potential subscribers end up getting pissed by the intrusive and disturbing nature of the ads before man can say Jack Robinson. In all these, the middleman is yet unaffected per say, instead both the company and the users especially, bear the brunt. Such company would eventually close down because it is ominous that in the long run, ad costs would certainly exceed profit, owing to ineffectiveness of advert. Users on the other hand, are deprived of quality time, data, energy and comfort each time they are redirected by ads to an unverifiable website with irrelevant and head-aching information.

Kind Ads Solution

  • Decentralized nature
Currently, giant companies like Facebook and Google monopolize the online marketing industry and this is a big problem. Worse, it affords them the luxury of choice to dictate ad fees, thereby centralising the market.
With Kind ads however, online marketing would be made decentralized and this would help create a conducive environment for growing corporations in the industry to thrive. And as it is no news that decentralization in any industry creates more options for consumers. In turn, there will be increased competition for consumer attention and ultimately it would result in delivery of improved customer service.

  • Cost effectiveness
Kind ad platform is structured in such a manner that companies (advertisers) seeking to publicize their product or service can preempt the performance of a proposed publisher based on the reputation score and magnanimity of subscriber-base, before contracting a job out. As a result, advertisers are able to predict the success of venturing into a ad contract with a certain publisher and this minimizes the risk of loss.

  • User Token Rewards
Another exciting thing about Kind ad is the reward side to it. Of course, every likes the idea of making money. So, yes! The Kind ad platform allows companies to reward publishers, publishers to reward users and companies to reward users through tokens. Gracefully, the pay is instant as it is Ethereum blockchain linked.

The advent of Kind ads is bound to transform the world of online marketing, I have no doubt. I sincerely cannot wait for it to fully commence.
