3 MORE reasons why Gridcoin is a better cryptocurrency than Bitcoin and other Altcoins.

This is my second post about Gridcoin this week and I will give you 3 more reasons, that make Gridcoin a better "player" than Bitcoin.

In the first post about the reasons Gridcoin is a better currency, I pointed out three reasons:

It's a POS currency
It helps science and medicine
Robust Security model

And now I'm going to give you three more reasons, that makes Gridcoin superior. There are some heavy advantages, that made me trust Gridcoin and prefer it as an Altcoin. So the things, that I'm gonna single out this time are as follows:

Lower transaction fees
Faster transactions
Not wasting excessive energy pointless

How high are the transaction fees of Gridcoin?

It's up to you how much will you decide to give as a fee. Considered that you give even some little transaction fee will guarantee you a faster transaction. Let's say you decide to send 1500 GRC. And you set your transaction fee at 0,1 GRC. This means 0.06%, which is a tiny drop in an ocean. And if you are generous, you can say "thank you" to the network in a very nice manner!
Oppositely, the Bitcoin transaction fees can reach well up to dozens of US dollars. And do you know how much 0,1 GRC in US dollars is? Given that it's about $0,07 this makes less than 1 cent!

How much is the transaction delay?

While Bitcoin needs hours to approve the transactions, Gridcoin ones take a couple of minutes. What's the advantage here? If you want to buy a pizza, and intend to pay with some crypto currency, do you think it will be OK for the pizza restaurant to wait some hours... or a day to get their money? And will it be OK for you to pay $20 for the transaction, if the Pepperoni pizza, that you ordered is $10. Just think of that. And you all know, that the TIME is MONEY, right?

Where does the used energy go?

If you haven't heard Gridcoin is an ecosystem, that distributes computation energy and rewards the volunteers in various projects with some coins.
Being a PoR currency (Proof-of-Research) it uses the spent resources, which cost energy, for helping various scientific researches. All the projects require a tremendous amount of processing power, which even some supercomputers cannot provide. This means, that all the computers and devices, taking part in the network are a Hyper Computer in a way. Bitcoin's mining for instance works only for... proving some transactions and having no results at all. Is you want to mine some coins, do you want to leave the wasted energy unused, or you think it's better to share it for a cause like healing cancer, aids, or explore the galaxy? It's up to you which one will you choose, of course, but be wise!

Of course, we are going to witness the new Lightning Network of the Bitcoin and this means, that some of the disadvantages will no more be present, but who knows what will happen. Until now, Gridcoin proves to be a lot more trustworthy network and there are no obvious disadvantages at all. It is a greener coin and network too!
