The death penalty comment made this click bait for me, but I actually think the real story is even more interesting. Any government penalty involving loss, whether of money, freedom or even life, is frightening. But when individuals act in free ways (like building or inhabiting a structure in international waters), it is a unique challenge. How does it impact rules about where borders are? Is there a real safety issue for ships or housing occupants? Who built it? Why? Were permissions needed? met? Is it good housing? fun? dangerous because of weather? pirates?
I always vote to "push the desire for freedom button," but the questions raised by individual choices are extremely valuable when considered by non-dualistic thought. For me, the latter element makes this a more important story than one of passing interest that resulted from click bait.
Great content, as always, Chris. I heard about sea-steading a year and change ago... seemed risky both because of states being less than encouraging and pirates.
BNB chain sounds pretty interesting as a concept - could really only work on an already-successful platform.
interesting new concept international living, sure there are laws that rule international space ... everyday we come closer into what will be our world global nation ... united nations and the un-united ones as one... so to use bitcoin the couple would need 'interconnection' and that would be for sure from some isp even from satelite would rule itself from some legal scope ... how does it work at the space-station?

I heard that China is building an underwater city - that is a big deal.
I wonder how much room we have now given how strong resistance at $6k seems like it will be given our previous time holding there for so long. However, higher lows will mean it is only a matter of time!
