Sure look at what coin you want to mine and then build your mining machine around that, for example if you choose to mine sha256/btc or scrypt / ltc, doge and others use liquid cooling and add a few ways to increase your speed and heat reduction I use Immersive cooling on my btc and ltc miners. below are my mining stats

Sha 265 I have 2 S9 overclocked 19-23 th depending on time of year
Scrypt I have 4 L3+ overclocked 660mh/s 700mh/s depending on time of year
Ethereum I have a 10 video Card max 420 mh/s which I am working on at the moment to cool it as it makes so much heat
