In cryptocurrency news today, Twitter has decided to join the bandwagon and ban the Advertising of cryptocurrencies and ICOs. They are not the first large organisation to take a stand against cryptocurrencies. Other companies such as

They released a statement which reads:
" We are committed to ensuring the safety of the Twitter community. As such, we have added a new policy for Twitter Ads relating to cryptocurrency. Under this new policy, the advertisement of Initial Coin Offerings (ICOs) and token sales will be prohibited globally."

Correct me if I am wrong but this type of organised censorship for something that has not been proven to be detrimental to society is unprecedented. I wonder why they haven't placed a ban on Alcohol or even pulled the plug on Facebook Live because those have proven to be dangerous as well.
I wish everyone will just reveal their honest intentions and allow the public to make up their own minds on what they want to engage in.
Not a big fan on Twitter but I'm surprised they banned cryptocurrency before they banned Trump, his tweets are much more dangerous than crypto ads.
My point exactly! Trump has done as much harm with his tweets as any cryptocurrency ads I've seen. Yet his Twitter account lives on....
