Amazon appears to be claiming web domains with cryptocurrency correlations. Regardless of which cryptocurrencies these represent and what they may ultimately end up partnering with, the larger implication here is that they appear to be preparing for a world in which cryptocurrencies are ubiquitous. This stands as a very progressive step for a company that can usher in a new era of mainstream acceptance of cryptocurrencies once they allow them to be utilized on their platform.
