John Oliver Did a Great Service for the Crypto Community and the Public.

I Have Nothing But Respect for What John Oliver Did Here.

Sure he made fun of Crypto but he also just educated millions about what we are trying to accomplish here. We all know that Crypto Currency is changing how the world works. It is very likely that Blockchain tech will be so ubiquitous in the next decade that people will not even realize that they are interacting with it.

Crypto is now showing up on a daily basis across the media outlets. More and more people are being educated. This will bring mass adoption to our space but it will also bring the regulators. So be prepared for a very volatile 2018 for this sector.

He may regret the shade he put on EOS.

Actually a really great video and totally not what I would have expected from John Oliver. I really thought he would be making a lot more fun of cryptocurrencies in general, but the actual explanations were pretty good.

On the other hand, the comparison with Beenie Babies is a bit wrong though.

It was super wrong. A someone who not only has an Etsy store that had a Beanie Baby, but ended up selling it just last week for Bitcoin on OpenBazaar, I only charged $10 and I made sure in the description it stated what the value of it was (Good for cuddling only!). Writers on the show obviously had a an anti Bitcoin beanie bias going on, otherwise really great reporting, entertaining and informative.

I agree the beanie baby reference wasnt accurate Instead he should of held a $100 bill and told us that this piece of paper is technically worth less than a cent, but we have all agreed that it’s actually worth hundred dollars

Posted this as soon as I seen it come up on YouTube https://steemit.com/cryptocurrency/@cryplectibles/hbo-cryptocurrencies-on-last-week-tonight-with-john-oliver

A few hours later came up on my feed from someone I follow https://steemit.com/cryptocurrencies/@moon32walker/john-oliver-and-cryptocurrencies upvoted that

Sometime even later I see it in my feed again https://steemit.com/news/@rossenpavlov/cryptocurrencies-last-week-tonight-with-john-oliver upvoted again

Now for a third time, I will keep on upvoting, really well done segment. I wish his crack team would have delved more into Brock Pierce stuff for the sake of possibly clearing up a lot of things tied to his name, but still was great for crypto as a whole.

I feel like the best service is that a lot of people that don't understand ANYTHING about crypto at least have a basis of knowledge now.

more than million people just came to know more about it we should be thankful indeed ;)

Yes , you are right that crypto have become strong future currencies. Now every body is getting awareness about it.

Yes, I totally agree, I think the year will be very interesting.

John Oliver confronted Dustin Hoffman over allegations of sexual harassment during a heated exchange at a screening film Q & A on Monday night, which The Washington Post captured on video.

The host of HBO's "Last Week Tonight" was interviewing Hoffman's in a panel for a commemorative screening of Hoffman's 1997 movie "Wag the Dog" in New York City.

Around halfway through the hour-long talk, Oliver brought up an allegation made against Hoffman in November that he had groped and sexually harassed a 17-year-old intern, Anna Graham Hunter, on the set of the 1985 movie "Death Of A Salesman . "

"This is something we're going to have to talk about because ... it's hanging in the air," Oliver said to Hoffman in a video published by The Post. @hilarski

Video is not available in the UK :(

There are many people who try to make the cryptocurrencies look bad, this is a good sign, when the river sounds it is because my grandmother's water brings it, without a doubt there is a great coming growth, in ten years, all those who do not they got on the train they are going to regret
Thank you very much dear friend @hilarski for sharing this news
I wish you a prosperous week
