DigixDao is the token for the organization that is planning to release Digix Gold tokens, DGX. DGX token will be cryptocurrency backed by gold. It will have an exchange rate such 1 gram of gold is worth on DGX. If DigixDao is successful with this it would allow people to trade cryptocurrencies into gold which could be used in a plethora of ways.

The bad
The DigixDao token (DGD) is based on the success of their Digix Gold token. Right now you are only able to purchase DigixDao token which supports the company and not the Digix Gold token the company is producing. If the company is successful in producing Digix Gold token than the DGD token will have lots of value. Until then, it’s a gamble as to whether this company will release the DGX token or not.
