Qiibee :True Reward for Loyalty

As part of efforts to appreciate customers for frequently patronising their brand,companies often reward them with points, which when accrued overtime could be be redeemed by purchasing goods at the same store,usually at a discount rate. These may take various forms such as coupon codes,loyalty cards,gift cards etc ,however they all have one objective: to give incentives.All such schemes are referred to as loyalty programs .
As a loyal customer to various brands myself,I must confess that juicy as it sounds,there are indeed downsides to this. Topping the list for me would be having a swelling wallet containing quite a number of loyalty cards which I have to constantly reassure myself that I'd finally get the need to cash-in on someday.
For instance,my love for pizza means that whenever I'm rewarded with loyalty points at Domino's,I get to redeem them almost as soon as I get them.Sounds good right ? The same ,however can't be said about my Airmiles card which is almost as aged as my birth certificate,the obvious reason being that I'm not a frequent traveler.I realised that just like me ,there are millions of other customers whom for one reason or the other ,haven't been able to redeem their loyalty points.Worse still,many don't even realise they have them .
The rigidity and zero interoperable nature of these loyalty programs are definitely to blame for the difficulties in redeeming them.Customers will always have stores they patronise more frequently than others. But does this mean that loyalty points gotten from either of the rarely used stores should waste ?
For me,true customer appreciation doesn't just end at offering loyalties,infact,it only begins there.Companies have to replicate same efforts in ensuring that the hard earned loyalty points can be easily and effectively redeemed or risk the purpose of loyalty programs being defeated.
However,all these will remain a mere fantasy until a major overhaul of the system is implemented.

For a minute, close your eyes and imagine if all your loyalty points on Amazon,Sephora,Cohl's,Jcpenny,Saks,McDonald's
