XRP/Ripple making upward moves!
Hello steemians,
We are seeing some moves upward in the price of XRP in that past couple of hours despite the majority of the coins from the top ten being in red. This is so much deserved as the Ripple team is doing such an amazing job to implement the technology that will change the movement of the money the way we know it. It is just amazing how many haters of XRP there are but what they do not realize is that the banks are not going away anytime soon and using such a technology Ripple is implementing will make them stay competitive in the market. I have completely stopped reading twitter posts from the haters of XRP as those people just expect to get rich overnight or whatever. I do believe in the technology and I do not care if the price is stagnating or falling because I know that in the long-term Ripple and XRP, in particular, will succeed. Right now I am waiting for funds to arrive to my Bitstamp account to buy some steem and guess what? It takes me 5 days to transfer it from my bank in the Czech Republic to bank in London and costing me tens of dollars in transfer fees not even taking into account the conversion fees between the currencies. Ripple and XRP in particular have a real use case that will solve this and make your transfer cost efficient and almost instant. I cannot wait for the banks to start using it ASAP. I see a great future for Ripple but people just need to be patient and not to expect 2x returns every two months.

Ripple use case will solve the cross border remittances issues but my problem is the banks, they will test evaluate for years before implementing.
Banks have been embracing the Ripple ledger technology since 2015, it's 2017 already and no one bank has implemented it. It sucks
Little patience... I would be more worried about coins that are rising like crazy and they have nothing else than WP, clone of other coins and not much of the usecase..... Ripple is slowly building its network around the world, testing the product before it can be implemented.....

I hodl XRP as a hedge, just in case Bitcoin takes a little longer than anticipated making central banking obsolete. Fiat/Cash days are numbered

XRP is a fantastic tool but I don't think it will really be used by individuals so much as banks in the long run. People would rather send Litecoin, Ethereum or another fast coin that has the trust of the decentralized community. I love XRP but it has a dirty name due to associating with banks.
Let me ask you something if I can. How many people do you know that are using BTC, LTC, ETH or any other crypto? At the same time let me ask you how many people are being paid by banks and are using banks to transfer money? The beauty of moving money via XRP is that end users don't and won't need to know their transfer is done via XRP.... All they will care for is the speed and transaction fees.... That is just my humble opinion....
This all goes back to who do you trust. Bitcoin was created to take the power BACK from the banks not make them more powerful and faster. I'm all for Ripple AND Bitcoin as well as every other crypto so no bias here but you have to think like a traditional Bitcoiner

Hope it does rise over the long term and is one of the more stable coins, i'm new to all this cryptocurrencies and I've just purchased my first Ripple coins.
Let's give it some time and it definitely will....
I guess you have to know what you are playing and expecting. I agree expecting 2x every couple of months is not sustainable. Ripple has a lot of potential given the fact that banks are investing in XRP.
Ripple seems like a good long term bet. My portfolio does include XRP

Ripple is positioning itself all around the world and signing up more banks and partners as we speak. Nothing happens overnight. Give it a couple of years and things will get very interesting.

I own some Ripple and I am very confident that it will rise. No one should ignore the fact that Ripple has so many signed contracts with the biggest banks in the world
Like you say, there are only good news coming from the company and even though it is not affecting price in a positive way I am sure things will start changing by the year end.
