Google to make own cryptocurrency
Lets face it google amazon facebook etc are going to make there own crypto at some point.
They have all the money and all the best people in tech working for them. Googles own crypto will most likely be amazing and will be so easy to use you wont even know your useing it. Problem is most people dont care about who owns it.
This is a big problem. If the decentralised crypto does not win we will have failed and be stuck in the same unfair system we live in today. Its more important then ever to spread the word and get people on board.

Will Google use it to fight censorship? Guess not
Will Google use it to undermine our privacy? Probably yes
Will Google charge unreasonable fees, just like they tried with Google wallet? Probably yes.
Will PayPal go crypto and add unreasonable fees? Probably
lets keep an eye on them and rant the crap out of every negative aspect.
And we should do the same here on steemit if we see something negative.
Thats the only way forward. Rant now, don't wait for tomorrow.
Thats it we need to stick together and Keep a good community . these companys are powerful and will take everything we got to beat them.

i mean, there is a lot that needs to be changed about steemit
people can help by not sending people to crap exchanges because they have good affiliate links, and telling then about good projects not shit coins. yeah steemit could take a few things from facebook and other sites.
If steemit is 'the future of the internet' then it should be able to evolve in a natural manner. And if anything not look at sites like facebook at all. Facebook is just an abuse machine.
And steemit is somehow a centralized titanic on a decentralised ocean.
But time will tell if this is the way to go. :-)
I try to provide feedback for the stuff that appears odd to me for a futuristic platform.
Dunno about Google and Facebook, but Amazon has all the right reasons for its crypto - Easy cross border payments. People will take the bait. Once it comes out, you would see a tumble on the markets again. Is it good for people ... huh! what? Who ever cared. Everyday we are giving our valuable data to Facebook, Google and Apple. Most think that not using their maps or search engine will help and forget all about the phone they carry that is powered by the OS that they have built. They have you by the balls already. And no one is complaining. It would be interesting to see if crypto enthusiasts (not speculators, but enthusiasts of a free economy and user power) can keep them at bay and quickly educate the average folks who are already scared with all the regulations, bans and negative news on crypto.
Its the sad truth. We need them and are willing to sell out souls to them. Blockchain is our only chance tho . on the flip side it could help bitcoin as its easier to trade from crypto to crypto then fiat to crypto.
That could explain in part why they are banning publicities from their platform !

Just wait for the FUD about decentralisation to hit the general public.

and that will show... when the first big boy dinosaur is no longer able to feed itself on our privacy
