The Robinhood app will now let users buy and sell Bitcoin and Ethereum, starting on February. This is following coinbase'S huge success by allowing to be a gateway to crypto currency. However, Robinhood plans to let users buy crypto without any added transaction fees, compared to Coinbase’s high transaction fees. In the coming months Robinhood will alos add more crypto currency be added to the platform like litecoin, ripple and dash.

Robinhood co-founder Vlad Tenev stated “We’re planning to operate this business on a break-even basis and we don’t plan to profit from it for the foreseeable future. The value of Robinhood Crypto is in growing our customer base and better serving our existing customers.”
