A crypto meetup would be an interesting event to attend! I'm new to crypto and it would be nice to gain some insight from alot of different people face to face as opposed to searching through countless videos and articles on the internet

Although it shows a sign of cryptos going mainstream, it for sure attracts a lot of shit. I being an software programmer in India recently attended an interview with a big American bank there the inteviewer was throwing words like we are doing cutting edge stuff in blockchain when for sure you know that the person doesnt have an ounce of knowledge about blockchain.
Saw some posts on youtube on the new ico electroneum they made $40 million from their ico sale, if you go deep what they are doing is forking monero and creating a mobile wallet, and the funny part is people expect money out of this. The environment is becoming very fertile for the scamsters
I agree - there is going to be a big shake out of the scams in the long run. That said, the free market will sort it out, like it always does when allowed to function properly.
