"Korean Government will evaluate the reliability of blockchain technology"

Korean government decided to evaluate the reliability of the blockchain technology. As a result, it is expected to be able to distinguish good block-chain platforms that are emerging.

According to the Ministry of Science and Technology's Ministry of Information and Communication's 'Strategy for Developing Block Chain Technology (draft)', the government will establish a 'blockchain technical support center' to improve the competitiveness of private companies.

The Block Chain Technical Support Center will build and operate an evaluation system that can objectively verify the reliability and performance of core technologies, platforms, and services (distributed applications) of the blockchain so that comparative analysis between blockchain technologies will be possible from next year.

It is intended to derive the key core attributes of the blockchain from the viewpoint of reliability, and to establish evaluation criteria and system by identifying the application field and attributes suitable for the evaluation object.

Reliability means that ICT products and services operate as intended and do not fail, including security, privacy, security, certainty, scalability, and fault tolerance.
