Arionum Feature Tip - The Simplest Crypto Miner Yet!

The Arionum revolution is going strong. The community is still working hard to support the platform and the Devs are as active as ever. Everyday the community grows stronger and stronger.

Today's update is a short and sweet one. A few days ago I walked through the process to get the Arionum Java Miner up and running on a Linux box. Fear not Windows users the Java Miner works very well with Windows too and I'll be posting a detailed walk through on how to get your very own miner started soon. But, in the meantime I wanted to let everyone that's new to the Arionum platform in on a little tip that can get you started mining in under 10 minutes. The Devs over at Arionum have added a really cool feature in the Arionum Light Wallet for Windows. They included an integrated miner so that you can get started mining in no time.

Step 1: Download the Windows Light Wallet

The first thing you need to do is head over to https://www.arionum.com and click the big blue "Download the Windows Wallet" button. This will download the Arionum Windows Light Wallet. Once the file downloads just double click the file to get things running.

The install Wizard is pretty simple and straight forward, just follow the on screen steps and let the wizard do it's magic. The first time you open the wallet client you will be prompted to create your first wallet. I highly recommend you encrypt the wallet for added security for your wallet. After that you should have your wallet ready to go!

Step 2: Ramping Up the Miner

The next step you need to take is to click the "miner" tab at the top of the GUI window right under Arionum. Your screen should look like the one above.

The integrated miner gives you a few options to get started, first you can select the pool to mine with or switch to solo mining by removing the check mark next to "Pool Mining". The miner defaults to the offical aropool. As of the time of this post, this is the only Arionum mining pool in operation. But, when more are added, you can change the URL here.

The next option you have is to select the number of threads to use. You can play with this setting to find the optimal setting for your machine.

After that, go ahead and click Start. That's it, you are mining Arionum. It was easy wasn't it?

The integrated miner provides a very easy way for anyone to get started mining Arionum with little to no effort. If you're ready to join the mining party and start raking in the ARO, that is all you need to do.
