Trade Log 1/2/18: 4 Trades closed (+6.85 % to account)

in #crypto7 years ago

Here's the first trades of 2018. (still getting used to writing that) There's no better alt coin to usher in the new year than ETH. It's #3 in terms of market cap, only behind bitcoin and XRP (ripple). Its also the second crypto that I heard about after I discovered btc last year. Ok, let's get to it..

ETH

(+1.5 % gain on total account)

XEM

(+0.85% gain)

STRAT

(2.4% gain)

STEEM (save the best for last!)

(2.1% gain)

As you can see from the % gains made to the total trading account, each successful trade adds a little more.. kinda like a layering effect, or you might say I'm slowly chipping away at the crypto market. (yeah, I like that metaphor/picture)

I started trading with futures commodities (like metals, orange juice, pork bellies, etc) and then moved on to FX, or foreign exchange. I never made money.. at least not overall.. but didn't lose much--compared to some people I knew then.. although, I never made a good, consistent profit. That was the goal. To be able to live off my trading..

It seem all those years spent 'playing' around with trading and NOT getting paid at all, have finally paid off and I just had to find the right vehicle.. that being Bitcoin! yay! and STEEMIT is not too shabby as another income source for me, as well as some worthwhile way to spend my time.

@chinito Happy New Year!

:) HI there. u too!

STEEM (save the best for last!)

I agree with the steem. Almost 100% increase today.

Well done! but you will find Holding will pay off more, like investing in Apple. That’s if you can find your Apple.

This is a bull year for crypto, so you could be making up to 100% profit week to week, crypto to crypto by swing trading, though for the first day of 2018 I made 150% from choosing to hodl instead of cutting my loses or taking profits at 10%-30%.

If you believe in a project and it’s new… invest.

Hi. thanks for the interesting response. yes, i will agree with you that buying and holding CAN be more profitable.. provided you pick all the right coins to buy. I am focusing more on accounts growth, in a slower and safer way. I try not to be greedy and am very pleased with current results. :)

bookmarking this post for learning ground. thank you!

you are really doing great in trading..congrats.!

thanks! :)

nice, at least you have a profit

I am very interested in trading but i think this is not as easy as i think... too many things that needed to understand... hmmm but anyways thanks for the info it helps me a lot...

u are very right.. but it can simple one u start and know what to do.. simple--yes, I would say so (after all, all i'm actually doing is clicking my mouse and entering some numbers) but it can be a task to learn just where and when to click and what numbers to put. :P

seriously though, if you really want to learn, just do start. It costs u nothing to learn and its a very good skill to have.
