hi, nice background on the video! I have a question if someone votes ups and he does not pay but the money is generated out of thin air, how can this currency be viable? Also assume that I have an amount x of those currency how can I use them?
The upvotes are not out of pocket. There is a pool of money already in Steemit that is distributed through the blockchain to the Steemit users that get upvotes. Let us know if we can clarify anything else.
