Bitcoin and the Crypto Market Continue to Crash after Facebook Announces Bitcoin/Crypto Ad Ban

in #crypto7 years ago

Facebook is the latest big bad wolf to try and blow down the Bitcoin estate. It seems like the crypto market has been hit from every angle this week.

From South Korea and other governments wanting to place regulation upon cryptocurrency, to the Tether debacle, to the mainstream media's onslaught of demeaning crypto storites, and now to Mark Zuckerburg and Facebook's decision to ban crypto-related ads.

One could definitely say that this has been a bad couple of weeks for crypto.

I can understand Facebook wanting to ban some ads, especially if they involve ICOs. Someone could potentially sue Facebook if they helped facilitate the advertisement of a scam. They are likely simply wanting to protect themselves from future problems, but it is odd that they are blocking Bitcoin ads as well. They are definitely losing out on tons of ad revenue for now.

It seems like big government and big media have been working together to try and kill cryptocurrency. I hate to break it to them, but they are going to have to do much better than this!

For now, thanks for the cheap coin!

This kind of news plus the ever present threat of government meddling/regulation is what tones down my natural optimism over Steem going way higher. I see all the great articles and wonderful people on this site and think it can’t help but keep climbing! and then I look at the outside forces and think “BUT...” Hard to say!

When I saw this I had to laugh. Seems like Crypto is a threat to their existence . Suckerberg waiting to release his own ICO FACECOIN LOL 😂😂

Thanks for the information sir

its really good news...thanks for sharing

Thanks for giving the chance to enjoy this beautiful news!!

hmmm. more FUD. The whales are really pushing for $8,000 Bitcoin. haha

I believe Facebook are afraid of that blockchain technology and steemit network could bring down his website. Also, I heard that Mark wants to introduce his own cryptocurrency to use on the website, so I'm sensing a little bit of hypocrisy there. Either way I hope this doesn't affect the market as much. Great post!

Yeaah FUD everywhere time to buy more crypto :)

This is indeed a worrying sign for us. The time and money we have invested in the cryptocurrencies should not go waste. Facebook should make their control and command system more better to trace out fake advertisements.

Legend are legend and BTC still the legend wolf can't kill the lion
