My Top 5 coins under $5 with real use cases

in #crypto7 years ago

I decided to compile my top five picks of cryptocurrencies with real use cases. If you are like me and wondering which coins (out of the hundreds available) have real use cases, these coins are reasonably priced, as there isn’t one that is over $5

Currently listed at 108, at coinmarketcap.com, Civic is a identify verification system that lets anyone give and get “know your customer” (KYC) information through a trusted source. The advantages of Civic are numerous. Today, we live in a world where data breaches and identity theft are increasingly common. Businesses now pay millions of dollars to ensure their servers are protected. Hackers still do enormous damage every year by stealing identities, impersonating employees, and committing other acts of fraud. It is currently trading at $0.70.

2. Siacoin

Currently the demand for data storage has grown more than 50% annually in recent years. It is at a rate faster than the rapidly decreasing unit cost of storage. Siacoin is hoping to solve this problem. It encrypts, and distributes your files across a decentralized network. Siacoin is on average 10 times less expensive than current cloud storage providers. A 1TB on Sia costs about $2 per month compared with other services that charge upwards of $20. It is currently trading at $0.049.

1. Golem

Nice info. I haven't heard about Civic coin before. Would check on it. Thanks for the info.

Btw, this is me personally, but I would replace Ripple with Stellar's Lumens. Both are based on same technology, almost the same use case, and both coins are below $5. However, Ripple is centralized and Lumens are decentralized, making it "acceptable" by the hardcore-crypto-tech-communities. Cheers!

The XRP ledger is not centralized.

I see. The ledger, meaning the blockchain right? Forgive my knowledge, but afaik, miners are the ones holding the blockchains right? However, with most of the coins are being held by the company, and no mining is available, means the company can do anything they want doesn't it?

Yeah, don't take much advise from this guy he had bitconnect...

Wow
Thanks for the information.
Really nice
