Best Altcoin for 2017 ? my opinion :)
Actually you should run away from any one trying to tell you for sure witch altcoin will be most valuable in 2017 , no one accurately can tell you that . I mean who would say bitcoin will succeed in 2010 yet it compete with gold now .
All i can say i can present some feature that i think should be provided in next big coin for 2017
1 - it should fix some difficulty in bitcion
I am sure you know that there is some obstacle facing Bitcoin , some are affecting it is progress now and other may show there affect later on . some to mention : long block time , trend towered centralization , anonymity , debate on its fungibility ,,, etc .
2 - More simple more focused
Bitcoin tried to replace fiat currency worldwide witch is huge and it showed nice progress in that , but i think the next big Altcoin will be more specific for certain gool like targeting only social media like steem or international transaction or even game market . That for me is very important to success simply because focusing on one area give you better control to adjust quality and there is countless successful example in market .
3 - Mass adoption
This is the real value of every thing , if not valuated by people then no value at all . Next big coin will succeed by people use which is offcourse give it more value than other , How this coin can get enormous mass adoption , am not sure but looking at what steemit is doing give you some hope :)
It is true what they say that the real adopter of cryptocurrency ( average and poor people ) didn't enter crypto world yet .
I am not an expert in cryptocurrency but am following it closely , invested in it and trade it for the last few years and because am one of the first adopter in my country people always asking me .
So am just an ordinary man interested in crypto and my humble advise is looking at this crucial feature and implement them in any altcoin to end up with nice list you can bet on for 2017 , actually i made my list and already invested in some :)
Steem will succeed , i have no doubt about it but it will as a social media platform . which coin will succeed for purchase things online , buying from nearby store , game market , movies making , voting in election ,,, etc that is for time and people to decide .

It will be the year of all cryptocurrencies that have a good use and value.
I couldn't have said it better myself. Coins without purpose are too high risk as crypto and traders evolve recognizing it's better to trade or invest in a coin with purpose then one with a catchy name or fancy wallet.
Without a crystal ball my two top champions for 2017 are still Monero and straight up Bitcoin.
Monero is my favourite. Generally first or second on volume. Margin trading available. Has bullish support from XMR enthusiasts. Has real world demand.

in my opinion ripple look like it will achieve some successes because it fit the 2ed feature , focused for one purpose , but it failed in 3ed criteria in mass adoption because simply it build for central bank to use in international transaction so they will be who benefit mostly .
I like Bitshare and i think it have a potential ahead , it fit most of the criteria , just not on my little top 10 list bro :)
About Reddcoin , the firs time i saw it my thought was it invented to bring live for redcoin witch have been around since 2014 without real progress , so i dont know much about it but i will do my search after you mentioned it :)

I think DASH (dash.org) will be the best pick of 2017 .
At the moment they have already :
-lower fees compared to other crypto
-much faster transactions
-private and secure transactions
-extremely stable node network
-instant payments
But they are also working on many more improvements :
-social improvements , like add payment notes,send money to users instead of crypto addresses, make friends lists, easy shared multisig accounts etc.
-a decentralized API
-making it much easier to integrate to online businesses compared to other coins (without the need of 3rd parties)
Read about DASH evolution (what they are working on) on their website , or join their slack channel dashnation.slack.com . As a surplus , they have a very nice and helpful community so don't be afraid to ask any questions .

I think 2017 will be the year of bitcoin. Masses will try to invest in,when the price of BTC goes to moon. After that everybody will buy altcoin to get a chunck of bitcoin. I think monero will be used massively in the deepweb market while ethereum will be the choice for stability...
