Introduction
Cryptocurrency, Bitcoin, Blockchain, and Tokens are terms intrinsically tied to the emerging technology that is Decentralized Applications or dApps and its revolutionary potential for changing multiple industrial landscapes. Promising widespread applications, massive scalability, and significant paradigm shift potential, these burgeoning programs are already being hailed as the future of the information age.
Along with the excitement leveled at the prospects of dApps, however, are also a wide variety of legal and legislative concerns attributed to the rise of this technology. Because it has a wide range of uses that can replace traditional options in numerous public and private sectors, the economic, social, regulatory, and financial implications have led to closer scrutiny. [2] As such, the sheer potential of dApps prompts the question of how much it will upend existing industries.
Cezo OS
CEZO - The Operating System for DApps
CEZO is a decentralized OS infrastructure to enable full ecosystem required by complex computations of DApps.
CEZO node is a self-contained OS, that can submit the of the off-chain computations, dispute or approve the results provided by other nodes.
CEZO
Running on a system that functions on both off-chain and Blockchain, CEZO is meant to be a model that compensates for the slow computation and transmission of data via the traditional Blockchain throughput. It does so by providing a two-layer processing solution where simultaneous data processing such as those involving smart contracts are done via Blockchain nodes and nodes via CEZO.
In doing so, the dApp addresses the number perceived drawback of Blockchain services that prevents wider adoption of the technology in most sectors. This will also aid in the creation of new dApp services that are geared specifically towards providing additional computation speeds to both other existing dApps in the market and those that will spring up in the inevitable expansion of the technology’s adoption.

CEZO OFF-CHAIN NODE
CEZO Works both on Blockchain and off-chain, both of which contain nodes. However, it is the off-chain nodes where CEZO is actually relevant. They are comprised of the entire infrastructure of the dApp, both in terms of software and hardware components. Users that want to use the dApp will be dealing with the nodes and will need their own nodes, as well. Developers and clients will be provided with nodes and they will be the sole responsibility of the owner
These nodes come with native components for offchain operations. These will provide access to the computational capabilities of the hardware that contains the node, as well as the full storage that comes with it. Verifiable computations are also made possible through these nodes using reference implementations. More importantly, it is through these off-chain nodes that the system can interact with the main block for verification and finalization. Losing access to these nodes means losing access to the relevant Blockchain network.
CEZO BENEFITS
There are several main benefits that come with using the off-chain computation that is offered by CEZO, chief of which is reducing bandwidth load. There are many instances where it was suggested that less decentralization was the answer, but this is simply not the case. Off-chain computation provides a workable middle ground where calculations are done much faster and where they are dispute resolutions in place without completely centralizing.
1.Pooled Mining
It’s no secret that the crypto mining industry is extremely competitive thanks to there being only a limited number of coins available. One of the biggest challenges related to this is hardware and processor limitations, which makes mining extremely resourceintensive. One of the solutions put forward to address this issue is pooled mining in that computer hardware all across the globe are connected via Blockchain and use their respective processing power to mine cryptocurrency.
2.Platform Bridge
It’s worth noting that when it comes to computation, hardware limitations can often be the biggest stumbling point for users. Next is compatibility between operating systems that need to work together, which can often require the use of more compatible dApps or the rebuilding of new infrastructure from scratch. However, this only applies to independent host systems. There are also services that only require users to have node presence, but they are highly reliant on human agents. This is where CEZO truly excels.
3.Scalable Transactions
As already mentioned multiple times, scalability is only an issue with Blockchain due to the fact that it is not as fast in computation and throughput due to limitations in bandwidth. As soon as this congestion resolved and the nodes are unclogged with unnecessary data processing through off-chain computation, this will no longer be a problem. More importantly, a major obstacle to more widespread adoption becomes less of a problem.
4.Major Big Data Potential
Due to the sensitive nature of user data that is flowing through the web, there is a critical need for solutions that would not lead to exposure to malicious entities. This should have been an area that Blockchain was made for, but once again, the bandwidth limitations crippled adoption rates. Data transfers and storage need to be done at high-speeds, particularly if downloads or streaming are involved. This is just not something that Blockchain is able to offer in its current form.
5.Reputation Management
When it comes to decentralized services and Smart Contracts, in particular, reputation is less of a problem. Trustless transactions are exactly that because there is no need to put faith in other parties that they will hold up their end of the bargain if they also have competing agendas. By simply using Smart Contracts that stem from off-chain services like CEZO, this will in itself ensure that the reputation of the user is assured.
6.Easy Execution Verification
The verification game relies on disputes being raised, challenged, verified, and ascertained, and in most cases, this is done with the help of human verifiers that are incentivized to fulfill those roles. However, verification that is done by humans is, by definition, less reliable than when it is automated. This is due to the fact that human error comes into play, along with susceptibility to external interference.
SMART CONTRACT IMPLEMENTATION
As one of the main focus of off-chain computation, the creation, management, and enforcement of Smart Contracts are the roles that CEZO was created to play. The concept itself is simple and the architecture of the dApp is intuitive. Two or more parties will come to an agreement that will be inscribed in the code of the dApp machine. The developer responsible for the machine will then have access to privileges and primitives that will dictate how the process will go.
From the start, the parties do not trust each other but trust the developer explicitly. This is necessary for the Smart Contract to work. The developer, however, does not return this trust and ensures that the necessary primitives are in place to make sure that the agreement is upheld. To implement the off-chain system in creating Smart Contracts, the process starts with receiving the nodes that come with the machine. After installing the nodes, users can simply adhere to the pre-determined primitives that manage the off-chain system.
Throughout the transactions that were agreed upon, all parties have the chance to submit for verifications. These verifications will be computed by the off-chain machine and then will connect with Blockchain for finalization. Parties will be responsible for their nodes where they will be free to evaluate, submit, accept, or reject hashes. If there is a dispute in place, the verification step will commence until the error is found and corrected.
