Do We Have To Pay Taxes On Here?
Sorry if this is a stupid question. But in most cases anytime you're getting in come, you have to pay taxes. I am wondering do you have to do it with Crypto? Or with Steemit do you have you fill out the W9 form ( for US) when you pass a certain amount. That's one thing I have been thinking about. And sorry if this has been asked already.
You have to report your profits as income and then pay capital gains tax. You have to always pay taxes on all income, whether or not you get a W9.
honestly I do not know how to do that. I have never even dealt with taxes before.
You can use a service like TurboTax or H&R Block and they will make it really easy for you - they walk you through step by step asking you questions about various potential sources of income for which you would have to pay taxes - takes about 30 minutes and you don't need to worry about knowing the laws since they took care of all of that for you.
